Recruiting feedback/suggestion
First of all i want to say transfer portal feels good. Its fast, fun and competitive. You win some you loose some and you can do it under 20min once you know what you are doing.

However regular recruiting feels boring and frustrating more often than not. You pretty much have 2 rounds to figure out 12-15 players you want to compete for. If you play mid level team everyone else is gone forever cause game dont really have comeback mechanics (and thats fine). And you will also loose like half of these players either AI going ace pitches everywhere or playes become garbage lvl over time. And starting from round 3 your only real strategy is to recycle tons and tons of lower lvl players noone else want trying to find something usefull and salvage your draftclass. You add players to scout them to 30%, look at C-D potentials remove them and add new ones. This is not kind of gameplay you want to add to any game.
As we got 1.0 version i dont think there will be any sort of revamp for recruiting system so i want to suggest a small fix that can help make it more smooth. Would be nice to add some starting knowledge about player potential. Lets say 6tics range. So C-true potential player can be listed as F-C or C-A or anything in between. A+ potential will be listed as C+-A+ etc etc. Its dont sound big but it will help you to make better starting pool of players you gonna compete for(imagine hiting F-C potentials on all of your week 1 camp visits) and it will help to cut number of brainless clicks in like x5 times. So you can enjoy better parts of game without feeling you miss something. sorry for my english yadayada

Looking at a realistic goal of 20-25 recruits per season, I start the recruiting Spring/Summer by selecting 40 players I want and eliminating any that grade C or below potential, unless they already have the skills to start immediately. The 4 sessions of Spring 1-2 and Summer 1-2 I try to maintain 40 players. When the season begins, I offer Scholarships to the 30 that I feel I have the best chance of landing. I focus on the top 15 and if I see my team getting stuck in a bidding war with a team that can out spend me, I drop the player and re-focus on another while I fill my 40 man target roster with 2 star, un-recruited gems. By the end of the regular season I have about 15 players I have a chance to recruit and 8-10 gems.

I never offer a scholarship to a gem until the portal opens. When it opens I go for 2-3 high value needs from transfers, 3-4 un-recruited transfers that fill needed spots and offer them all scholarships and put them all ahead of the gems. I lose most of the high value players from HS and Transfers, but fill them in with high quality transfers and gems that are all 100% scouted and fit my offense and defense.

I have argued about gems on the forum in the past, and have heard a lot of complaints that they are hard to find. If you know how to find them, you can always end a season with at least one gem at each position. Whenever I get a gem at a position, I drop that position from my scouting criteria and delete any other players at the position that are un-scouted.
