All 10 conference FBS file! (Mostly Realistic)

Hi everyone! With the recent update allowing 8 and 10 conferences, I made a universe file that has 126 FBS teams and all 10 conferences and real bowl names and locations. The divergences from reality are as follows:

Bahamas Bowl is now the Samoa Bowl because of zip code issues
Notre Dame and Navy in the ACC as the default database has
NMSU in the C-USA because the C-USA this season had 11 teams and the game only allows for even team numbers
The other independents are not in the file but I am likely going to make a file including them in conferences in the next couple days
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments or feedback, especially for some of the G5 teams I'm not an expert in them so that would be appreciated! I've verified it to work in game but if there are any weird issues or things as well, let me know!

Doesn't matter where the file goes, just download it and remember where you put it (by default, it will probably be in your 'Downloads' folder). When you start a new game, click "Upload custom universe". That will bring up a dialog for you to select a file; just navigate to where you put the file and load it in. Hope that helps!

I think that the construction of the football universe has limitations. It is about 95% accurate. According to the dev, it would take a LOT of work to improve it to 100% accuracy, and there are more important things to do.

From my perspective, this json file is exceptional, and works perfectly fine.

This isn't meant to be 100% realistic, in any event. LB, OL and DL are generic, and not tied to a specific position, like center, tackle or guard. This makes recruiting hugely easier, and doesn't hurt gameplay.

My only request is to at least put the new schools into the Big 12. I don't think you can pre-move TX and OK into the SEC yet because they haven't officially settled on a schedule or division format yet, but with it officially 2023, putting Cincy, Houston, and UCF is necessary to be accurate. I forget how all the lower conferences are shifting, but that's 2023 for them too I think.

And not starting UK off with an 8th-ranked Notre Dame team for a player's first game would be nice. :p Still should have won that game. Grrr...

In this universe, every ten years, there will be teams that get shuffled into a different conference. The world as you know it will not be the same. It is entirely possible that Alabama will not be in the SEC, after the first ten years.

I'm aware of that, though it's important to remember that you can turn that off when you start the game. I'm just saying when this person or someone else makes the 2023 file they'll need to move people around to where they'll be this fall. This offseason is going to be one with the most movement of teams in a long while. I still have no idea when the SEC is going to release their scheduling and division plans. Every option they've talked about is horrible for UK so I hope they keep shuffling things until they find the least bad one. But I don't think waiting around for that reveal should stop someone from putting out the 2023 alignments.

The problem with UK is that they play in the SEC. Hell..I'm from Missouri, and feel my pain.

Trying to get a custom universe file started on my steam deck. Linux is it’s OS. I’ve read that the custom universe files only work on windows. I think that may be true because I couldn’t get them to load on the deck after downloading them…

So I started a universe on my pc and then transferred the saves onto my deck. But when I try to load them I get an error message that says “”name” is required”. Not sure what this means or how to fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
