Workaround to purchasing VIP & Kafra Points
So I've been having problems trying to buy VIP status and Kafra Points in Ragnarok on Steam, and decided to look into finding a way around using in-game menus and the Steam browser to solve the issues. The good news is, it's possible.

Preparation
The method involves modifying the URL that Warp Portal sends to your Steam browser when you click the "Add VIP and Points" button in the in-game shop. You will need to prepare the following information, and input them into the URL:
  • Your numerical SteamID
  • The e-mail address you use to login to Steam
To get your SteamID, go to http://vacbanned.com/ and enter your Steam Community ID into the search box at the upper left. You'll want to copy the 17-digit, 64-bit Steam3 Decimal value (765611xxxxxxxxxxx)

Execution
Open up your favorite web browser and copy-paste in this URL:
But replace the values in the "steamid" and "accountname" data fields with your appropriate information.

You'll be taken to the Warp Portal Ragnarok storefront, where you should be able to select the items you want to purchase. Continuing from there, you'll go to the Steam Wallet payment window, where you can either pay with the funds you already have, or load funds into your wallet first. After authorizing the payment, you'll be taken back to the Warp Portal store and if all went well, it will display a confirmation of your purchase.

And yes, purchasing VIP works in Classic too[i.imgur.com].

Hey, so i also figured this workaround out, problem is for me, when i do that, the page constnatly refreshes when i hit checkout instead of bringing me to any confirmation of payment window.

i have 25 dollars in steamcash and this problem persits. Did you never have this problem? i've done this in every web browser on my computer with no sucess

This is an interesting thing you made. If people start confirming that it works, can I use it on my troubleshooting guide? I will give you credit:)

To be honest, I only went through this procedure once. I'm not sure what would cause the page to constantly refresh aside from passing invalid data values over the URL. What were you trying to purchase? It succeeded for me when I only bought the $7.00 30-day VIP status.

One thing I might recommend trying is to login to Ragnarok through Steam, load up the Renewal server, open the Steam overlay and then using the Steam browser to load the webpage. Although I used Chrome myself, you may have some luck here.

I don't mind at all. Let's wait for more responses though, as it seems this might not be a solution for everybody.

I also sent in tickets to inquire about this and have yet to receive a reply. I can only assume it's a tricky problem with an elusive solution. Out of curiosity, are you playing using a new account made with Steam, or did you create an account before and are using the old account on the new Steam version?

It's definitely not fixed yet, I just attempted to buy some KP and the same error as before happened. The URL method is just a workaround to pass the intended values to the digital shop, which doesn't happen right now for some Steam users using the intended method.
