ragexe.exe stopped working?

Everytime I load up Ragnarok it loads up to the point where you have to click accept right before the log-in screen, but if I click accept it says ragexe.exe has stopped working and closes the program down. I noticed that if I verify the game files there are 11 files missing and it redownloads 1.4 GB of info and then I have to re-patch it but it runs after that. Once I shut down if I try to open it again it crashes just the same. I have to verify the game -every single time- to get it to run and it's irritating. I have McAfee version 8.8 and wonder if this is eating files after I run the game is this a known problem?

Possible that your AV is interfering with RO being able to patch properly. Have you tried temporarily turning off active scanning when you patch? What is your operating system?

Windows 7 is the OS I'm running, can't find a way to turn anything off unless I go into task manager and stop it in Services tab. This is a loaned computer for while I'm in the hospital for chemo so I don't want to mess up the AV either. I suppose if I turn off the service it can be turned back on the exact same way.

If you installed Ragnarok Online using Steam, just add the Steam folder as exceptions on your antivirus. No need to worry about infected files on Steam.

I need help on this as well both ragnorak and steam have exceptions on my firewall but I still face the same problem. cant keep doing this as it chews up internet reinstaliing 1.4 gb everytime i play :/

i just got kicked off ragnorak an it wont let me back on when i load in get to the first part then wont even go to my user name or pass part been trying for the past hr i have restarted my computer aswell steam but nothing is working help please

ive got the same, also there are times when the patch "cant conect" to server and i have to uninstal the game and re instal

I was able to solve my issue by installing in my c drive but not in my prgram files.
