Selling stuff and Zeny question

I just started playing and was looking at the cost of some items in the npc shop and was like wow expensive.
So do you sell everything you from mobs to the npc to get zeny or are you suposed to save it for something elses.
What can you sell?
what should you not sell?
Do you even need zeny?

Selling stuff from mobs is the most basic way of making zeny. Your first step would be to find something that sells well, and reliably. An example of this would be Strawberries: A consumable item that's quite easy to farm at lower levels, and sells fairly well.

Use http://ragial.com/ to determine what the average price of an item is.

As far as needing Zeny; most likely. I'm sure it's possible to farm everything yourself, but it would be a massive pain. You're likely going to need to purchase equips, consumables, quest items, and much more from other players.

Try to make a merchant Alt, and get the overchange skill to level 10. This will allow you to sell junk to NPC's at a better price. It also allows you to get Discount, which is extremely helpful as your starting out.

If you want to start earning zeny check what are the in-demand item(s) in ragial, you will always see that in buying vend.

If you want to earn big chunk of zeny you can sell Kafra shop items like Token of Siegfried / Kafra Card etc. or just sell Kafra points (100 Kafra points = 10m-12m zeny)
