I can't get this game to work...

I downloaded the game today, installed it, let it go through the patch process. Go to start it, and it gives me a string of errors then shuts down. How do I fix it?

I can't login to server as well. it shows 3 of error message windows

If this is your first time playing this game on the steam version then the problem is your game haven't been fully patch. Pretty dumb i know. But here is the fix is posted on the warpportal forum.

This has been driving me crazy since the maintenance. This is how I fixed it for me:

1) after the game is fully installed and patched, exit the launcher

2) go to the file location and rename Ragexe.exe to Ragexe.exe.bak (or just delete it if you want). The file size that I kept getting after a fresh install was 19,580 KB.

3) After ragexe is removed, you need to recreate the patch.inf file by going to:

set the server to: chaos (renewal)
set the patch number: 4763 [This is the patch number right before the latest ragexe found inside of the patch2.txt file]
Then click download

4) Replace the patch.inf file that is inside your client location and relaunch Ragnarok.exe. This will trigger a repatch for the last few items including Ragexe.exe which should now be 10,119 KB

The resolution seems a bit messed up, so I had to swap it manually with the Setup.exe to 1920x1080 and swap the graphic setting to Direct3D T&L HAL. THen after the game loads, alt tab, and then go back into the game.

EDIT: repatch using patch number 4742 (the last number right before the 9/7 update) if you are getting sprite errors
