Are the quests still necessary for the PLATINUM SKILLS?

By Platinum skills, I am referring to skills like cart revolution for the merchant or 'Walking HP Recovery' for the swordsman. Is it still necessary to do the quests to get them in the steam version?

ya... you need to do quest for those skill, unless you already rebirth.. your swordman quest skill already learn..
