Play through steam or ankama launcher?

Most people here would probably recommend creating an account not associated to steam in order to play (and play through the launcher). Most of the problems seem to happen only to steam users (problems that often prevent us from logging in for hours or days, depending on the problem).

Furthermore, playing through the launcher with an ankama account, you can use the authenticator and get a bonus 5 prospecting and 5 wisdom (which is impossible for steam users).

Actually steam users can use the authenticator since im a steam user and i got the bonus for the authenticator, most likely that was an issue ankama fixed when the authenticator was released. I play using steam cause i chat sometimes with some friends from my friend list on steam so yea..not much of a difference anyway, just make sure to not play trying first one and then going to other option (ex playing on steam and after trying to play only by the game launcher) since SOMETIMES that can cause a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bug on your game, and that is changing your game region making you unable to log in some servers, happened with a friend of mine, ankama fixed for him but still, if one can avoid it why risk it.
