Same world universe but way later in history but that's really about it, there's no point comparing Dofus & Wakfu to Waven, its simply just another game with completely new mechanics.
It think its a decent game, way too grindy and gets repetitive fast tho, haven't tried this live early access since i lost over +50 hours of progress that i had in betas so not felling like restarting from scratch right now
On the other hand, if you don't like the old school high commitment MMO games, Waven is actually a more casual one in compare with Wakfu/Dofus, but honestly speaking, the commitment is still set on a pretty high level if you compare it with other TRPGs on the mobile (Eg. Fire Emblem or Langrisser), so in the end, it's not a game i'd recommend, at least at its current state there are way better "free" TRPG games out there. Especially since it's still in EA and Ankama is well known for their "change of mind" on their game designs, and kept changing and "rebalancing" their games like forever... that's what killed Wakfu's wikipedia in the 1st place, and Waven isn't getting a good one for a long time due to they've already planned to make changing in the game in new updates. For a high learning curve game like these, the devs' change of mind habit isn't helping at all and sooner or later will cause their player base to swear out loud due to forced play style changing and relearning the already hard to learn game mechanics...
I never really could get into wakfu because it never became what it advertised initially, so Dofus will stay the superior one of the three, but god is Waven far behind anything else.
It's not unpleasant by any means, there's just not enough there. You could argue this is a mobile limitation but it would just further highlight that mobile is bad.
It's severely lacking in content atm, but it's still in early access, so I have hope for it to become something more than what it is right now. I also hope it will be more than just a couple of small maps with a couple of npcs, each giving the same quest like 20-50 times, increasing the difficulty each time.
