how to update to latest VaM base game (v1.21) without new key?

I previously purchased the steam version and just updated it to the latest VaM base game(1.21) using the updater.exe launcher, but now my game has become the free version without any access to creator content. looks like I still need to purchase a key from MeshedVrR, but he says steam versions can be updated for free without having to purchase a new key. I was wondering if anyone can help me out here?

There are something strange going on.

- I installed the patch 1.25 given from the https://sxvr.com/steam in January 12th.
Everything worked fine after until... today
Today, lots of plugin and stuff stopped working so I checked if there was a patch.
(Timeline, for example, doesn't play anymore in the scenes.)

- Today, the Launcher patched the game to the version 1.21.1.0
Now, opening the game brings us (Steam users who updated the game via the Launcher) to the "Free" edition and the HUB is disabled.

The fix to this problem, for Steam users is to go to the VaMX folder (if you haven't moved it from the Steam folder, it's at \steamapps\common\VaMX ) and, in both the "Keys" (\steamapps\common\VaMX\Keys) and "Key Teaser" (\steamapps\common\VaMX\Keys Teaser), rename the folder "1.20" to "1.21". The Updater doesn't update the folder name, it seems which contain your key to unlock the Teaser version.

I was on version 1.25 then mistakenly ran the updater and it downgraded me to 1.21. I tried reupdating to 1.25 but it isn't going back. Any way I can fix this? Some of my scenes no longer work the same.
