If you are downloading the models (looks) externally then you usually place them in the add-on packages folder (inside the Vamx main folder).

It is easier to use the in game Vamx hub and download them there, as it will include all the available dependencies to download and will put them in the correct folders for you.

There is a link to the discord on the steam page for virtamate/Vamx.

Plenty of content on the discord too.

Do yourself a big favour and make sure that you download all of the ispinox scenes (content creator), he has some of the best stuff I've seen here so far by a long shot! All free scenes too, other than a few bonuses for subscribers!

I use "save look" in the vam menu, but when load them in vamx environment, some items/hairstyle got lost.

"save look" and "load look" (and pose) are legacy systems that break things under some circumstances. Try using the "appearance preset" and "pose preset" tabs instead.

Some looks aren't really looks, they contain separate assets which are carefully positioned onto the looks, for those sorts of looks they could contain hair that isn't virt-a-mate hair but that is a 3d model placed on the head. That doesn't save as part of the look. The easiest thing to do in that situation is to load the scene with that look (that works) and then press Add vamX to add vamX into that scene, you can then do whatever you want with that look. The more complex answer is to learn to use CUA Manager, a separate plugin, which let's you handle looks with 3d objects combined with them.

Tried the save "apearence" instead of look, still same result, as pointed out by the developer, some hair on those character are not really hair.
