Simulation?
I was wondering how this compares to games like XStoryPlayer/VR HOT/Dr Deviant? I played an old version of VaM a few years ago and at the time it was a scene creator. Have simulation aspects been added? Is that what the X in the name is for?

No regret owning VR Hot, both games have their own strength. While VR Hot is not as robust as vam, it does did certain thing right that vam doesn't. In vam the model will instantly teleport to a new location to start whatever posture you instructed, but in VR Hot, the model actually walk over and get into the posture without breaking the immersion, hence u feel like interacting with a real waifu instead of just play back an animated cut-scene. Also, the dances in VR Hot is actually pretty good, much better than the built-in dance animation in vam (maybe there's better fan-made paid dances out there but built-in dance VR Hot wins). The model in VR Hot will animate and move a bit while you play with her, but in vam the model is rather stiff in their instructed posture. Of course if only can choose one game, vam is definitely the one to get.

OK, but what I'd like to know is if the characters follow commands and do what you ask them to do? Basically do they act like real people you are interacting with?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you very much. This is what I wanted to know. I have VR HOT and really like it. I also liked VaM a few years ago when I tried it and will probably buy it now that it's on Steam. I just couldn't justify the monthly sub so being able to buy it now is great. I do prefer to feel like the characters I'm interacting with are real so hopefully they will do more work on that in the future (or I can find a user creation that does it).
