Tarot Cards

I don't understand how they work. I select them before each chapter, but do I have to do something to activate them during the game? Like the no damage from enemies card for example.
I'm 34 years old.

You need to press "E" to activate Gold Tarot Cards. Silver Cards are are always active.

I know this is a very old topic, but how do I switch between the different, equipped tarot cards in game?
