Importing a project

I recently(today) upgraded to the studio version of game maker but cannot figure out how to import a project from the free version when I try to import the different import options are gmk and files like that but the project is saved as a gmx and I don not get the option to open it even though they both use the same save directory.

The project is saved in the .gmx folder. If you open the folder you can find a .project file. Try to select this file in the open menu of gamemaker and click on load. I hope it will work :)
