Nah but it's a recent release that added proper 2D support which is what Game Maker kinda had the market on, now that there is a better tool available for free it has to perform drastic methods to try and keep market share.

Are you allowed to use the license on more than one computer? I grabbed the license for my desktop, but wouldn't mind having it on my laptop as well.

which software were you refering to? Unity 4.3?
