Game Maker refusing to close?

Game Maker is doing this odd thing where no matter what I try, it doesn't want to close. I have to shut down my computer entirely in order to get rid of it.

Anyway I can fix this?

UPDATE: Turns out I have to go in manually and stop running the task manager. After doing this, it tells me that GameMaker had stopped responding. What is wrong?

i gt the same here, GM:S not quiting likeits supposed to and having to terminate it through taskmaster

Ctrl+Alt+Delete will bring up a screen, open task manager, and click on ''Game Maker'' then click on ''End Task'' It will close, if not, you're hopeless.
