Well I did make sure the 360 control was on before I started the game, that seems to help
- This will also be put in with the next patch. The user will be able to select which button prompts are displayed.

Uninstalling the undesired device and making sure my controller was the only thing found under "Game Controllers" in the Devices and Printers section of the Control Panel fixed it right up.
AMEN.
This worked for me. There was a Virtual HID Device listed above my wireless 360 controller. I disabled it Device Manager and the game recognized the 360 controller so long as I turned it on before launching the game.
