Controller problem

I'm having this problem as well. Anyone have any idea how to get it to recognize it?

Is it a wireless one? My wired controller got recognised without any issues whatsoever.

I can use a 360 controler (wireless) perfectly? I'll try and figure out if I did anything specal...

Well I did make sure the 360 control was on before I started the game, that seems to help

Its not wireless. And it works perfectly with other games.

Having the same problem with a wireless 360 controller, too. Works fine with other games games, but this one doesn't seem to recognize it.

Can you please have it so the Xbox buttons show up when a controller is plugged in?
- This will also be put in with the next patch. The user will be able to select which button prompts are displayed.

I'm having the same issue. I can load the game up and play it using the keyboard fine, I however cannot use my controller which unfortunately was the main reason i bought the game. I can go into settings and switch it to controller. All that does though, is switch the icons from keyboard to controller. Still doesn't recognize my controller. I use a Razer Onza Tournament Edition and to clarify, yes it does work perfectly with other games that are "Controller Supported".

I have my emulated PS3 controller running in X-Box mode via motioninjoy and it works. I had to unplug it, and plug it back in after making the game windowed mode before it finally registered, though.

People, really. Everybody here knows how to change icons. BUT gamepad doesn't work anyway.

I experienced the same thing. I resolved my issue by uninstalling a device that was occupying the "joystick 1" slot. It appears the game just tries to use whatever the computer thinks is "joystick 1," which in my case was remnants of a different controller that I don't use anymore.

Uninstalling the undesired device and making sure my controller was the only thing found under "Game Controllers" in the Devices and Printers section of the Control Panel fixed it right up.

This worked for me. There was a Virtual HID Device listed above my wireless 360 controller. I disabled it Device Manager and the game recognized the 360 controller so long as I turned it on before launching the game.
