Grey Matter Help

Hey guys i'm having some trouble with grey matter it seeems the more i play it i get better but i still feel im missing some things, can you guys give me any good straiges and junk pls?

I assume you're still playing Normal mode and not Expert, but, well, a couple of advices:

- with the snake-things, go slow (with Shift, or whatever it was). Their movement is unpredictable, and this way you can be more precise and just aim for the head. If you rush, you'll probably end up hitting the tail, sooner or later.
- the shield is probably the most important thing to buy, especially in Expert, so go for it. The extra dots are useful but can be deadly too, if they touch those flashing parts, you'll die as if your main body touched'em. The boost upgrade is almost useless, I've never used it.
- try to stay always near the center when you know there are enemies incoming. You can't predict from where they'll come, so it's very dangerous to stay alongside the borders, you may crash against them and die as soon as they pop up.
- try always to kill the most dangerous enemies first.
- take your time with the enemies with the flashing maw. You can kill them only from behind, so don't rush and get killed.
- if you time your boost well, you can most of the times go past the bullets and don't take damage.
- if you have enough points to buy something, press that Pause button and do it. Don't wait for the automatic pause after some waves to buy stuff, you can do it anytime (I didn't figured it out immediately, lol).
- during the final boss battle you'll probably get so many points that you can buy a ton of lives or other upgrades you still don't have, so do it.
- if you have a 360 or another controller, use it. Makes things a lot easier.

can't think of anything else, it's not a very difficult and long game but it takes practice, so good luck! :)
