Spewer Pillow Fort level

Is there ANY TRICK OR STRATEGY to beating this level other than "pure luck"? I've been at this level so many damn times and i still can't beat it, no matter how hard i try.

Aim for the center of the bottom corridor, go down hugging the left spikes, about 1/4th of those start spewing while pressing up (jump). It takes a bit of luck, but you should try to make a little ramp to spew into the corridor from. Retrieve most of the goo that went too high and spew into the corridor. Once you have nice bunch in there swim back and forth being careful with air pockets, retrieve goo when you can. The goo wille extend slowly, but eventually you'll be able to jump to the exit. This is how I did it, good luck!

That's the part that scares me the most from what you said, because when it comes to this level, Luck is almost non-existent.

Very well. First, you stand on the very edge and make a cloud as far as you can without spending too much. When you feel you can land comfortably, do it. After that,float up so you don't fall right away, eat the higher part of the cloud you are in (don't overdo it, though) and start making a cloud platform near lower spikes. If you do it correctly, you will live (be sure to press up the entire time so that inertia doesn't get you). After that it's only the matter of spending the rest of your cloudspew to build a viable bridge to the door. It might not even reach it as you jump out of it from some angles.

Omg i did it. But with HUGE luck, which is the thing i hated. Heres the way i did it:
Fall to at least 1/4th the way of the spikes on your left (the start of EgoPony's solution was good) and go for the corner. Grab as much goo as you can without getting screwed from the top and shoot for the gap to the door. grab a bit more goo and try to make at least a bridge (MIB2's part in it). Alot of luck is needed, so if you can get there with mine, MIB's or EgoPony's solutions, your good to go. But thanks you two for the help.
