I disagree on the basis that multiplayer has never, in my experience, been a distraction. Frankly, I find that a game shouldn't even NEED an excuse to allow you and a friend or group of friends flounder about and figure out what you're doing. That said, this is definitely a game that feels right at home as a single-player game as any good Metroid-vania game should. I would love to see online co-op make it's way into this game, but I'm having a blast on my own. ...Just wish the game would detect my Dual Shock controller.
Add in LAN support and then we can make our own multiplayer over the internet games using programs such as Tunngle. http://www.tunngle.net/index.php?l=en That way you don't have to figure out lag issues or buy someone else's multiplayer solution and adapt it to your game. Just make a quick guide showing others how to do it.
Thank you,
Cagey
