STOP KNOCKING ALREADY!
Although compared to other 2D platforming games, this was a lot harder, so I can see how it might be a struggle for someone who's not too into platforming games, personally, I loved it, wouldn't have it any other way.
Super Meat Boy isn't even in the same difficulty league!
The only hard parts are the optional ones (like Treetops which was challenging, or the disappearing platforms), but as the word says, they're optional, you can complete the game without even knowing about them.
The puzzle plattform parts are no fun. The game does not get anything through this platform puzzles. More skills and enemies would be much more fun then frikking impossible jump n run parts. It does not help that i get the feeling input lag is responsible for my bad performance in the tricky platform parts.
Edit1: Uff i managed to do it. The tutorial for the dash is misleading. After experimenting i found out that the for a dash you have to push into a direction and special attack. Not push <-,-> + special attack. Never trust your mentors :).
have a nice day
Have a nice day
I haven't played platformers for years and i played Guacamelee on keyboard and still finished the normal mode in two play-sessions. I only ragequit once on the Tree when i didn't know how to solve jumping in one room. But when i returned after a while of experimenting i found a solution. Eveerything else was just fine after few attempts.
And the same with the last double bossfight. I died repeatedly until i learned the patterns and then it became the easiest boss fight in the game. Every move is telegraphed well and i had no big problem finishing the game.
Anyone saying this game is to hard has too short attention span or badly set controls.
There definately is a latency in the controls.
I'm a drummer and worked sessions with click tracks all my life.
Maybe you have to be really crap at timing to beat the bosses.
