Game won't run (Windows 10)

Game doesn't start. I've tried running it in compatibility mode for various versions of Windows but the game just never appears on screen. Task manager shows the game program briefly under background processes but then it terminates. The crash log shows nothing amiss.

Well good for you. That doesn't actually help me much, but it's good to know it's possible I guess.

I had the same issue after upgrading to Win 10 64 bit. Game would not start when clicked directly from Steam Library, but would run if the exe was clicked.

I got it to work!
If anyone else is suffering the same problem, you need to enable the Microsoft .net framework under control panel/programs/turn windows features on and off.

I had the same issue, but neither this tread or any other helped so looked in totally unrelated videos and found out that it needs to be put in compatibility mode for windows 98/windows me and it started.

I managed to make it work going in the Setup and changing the refresh rate (it was in 240 fps!) to 60 fps (the normal for my monitor).
