Space Rangers 3 ?

Space Rangers 2 was one of the best games i ever played. will it gives a Space Rangers 3 ?

Its not likely to happen this decade, they had a 4 year gap with the old engine, imagine something this damned vast with modern engines!

Ya i would want to get rid of the rts quests. And the whole massive amounts of pirates kind of ruined the game for me. I liked sr2 reboot better. But thats just me, i still love the game and think its very underated. It should be more popular. So that being said i would love a sr3.

they did free to play mobile garbabe which i kinda supposed to be SR3 but isnt

Check out star sector. It's not exactly the same (it's pausible real-time vs turn based), and it's not on steam, but it's the best game of this type I've played.

I would also love to have SR3.
Personally, I also loved RTSs - sometimes they are pretty challenging (if the game also accepts defeating - it was the case for Maloks mission).

I think Space Rangers (2002) did an excellent job with the different game types and where they were used. I think the mech battles of the new games seem to not be the best fit nor are they well implemented. I think if there is a space rangers 3 they should remove or replace the game modes that are not fitting well, and either increase the quality of the content or do what they did in this game and try adding more game modes. I think there is nothing wrong with what they did with the mech battles, it just didn't work well. I think it is amazing that the original had so many modes that fit perfectly. I expect any future installments if there will be will have hits and misses when it comes to new features. I will stick with playing the original for the time being since it is still a great game.

Nothing similiar. Starcector is an action\rts game akin to drox operativer and other dozens of top down space games. It has decent world simulation and economy but its morel ike top down X3.
