Admiral Rank

How can I reach admiral rank? The point count seemingly stopped at commander because I get no indication that being an admiral is even a thing.

you need to visit military bases. if you can get the next rank you won't get anymore points until you are promoted first. so if you are getting promoted to an ace next you need to get the 'X' amount of points needed to get the next level first than visit a military base to get a promtion and rinse and repeat. sorry if im confusing im not mentally sound today.

Yeah well I gathered as much. I meant I am already commander, the penultimate rank, but it was never mentioned at the bases that I can get the admiral rank, nor can I look up how many points I still need. Is there anything I must do before I can gather points for the admiral rank?

well im an ace right now and the next upgrade is like 1500 points haha. killing dominators really really helps get your score up seeing how they become really weak and don't flee later down the line. ive killed two of the three dominators almost competely solo (could of done it solo). they aren't easy but for sure aren't impossible once you are geared and xp right. pirates are a huge bane but will fall once the colition doesn't have to fight doms

Well fighting dominators isn't a problem for me at all I clear whole sectors of dominators solo (or I would but when I wrestle them down to like 5 the rangers who come to "help" (read: capitalize) don't flee anymore) unless there is one of those big flagships because the kamikaze suck. Occasionally I manage to clear a whole pirate sector too as of lately. The problem comes with that the military base simply doesn't tell me about the admiral rank at all, I have no announcement for it I have no indication that it's possible or can view my progress towards it.

yea Terrorionze (think thats how they are spelled but probably not) are some what harder to deal with. Keller is difficult to kill solo but hes one of the weakest and especially if you are geared with kiting weapons in the arcade thing from wormholes. You can get a program that stops Terror from using his reprodcution/weapons/force him to land on a planet. im assuming that stopping his reproduction stops that type of dominator from spreading and hes the only one with kamakzi drones.

Nope and Nope. The big ones are called something like Botar or similiar I think and EVERY dominator race has that ♥♥♥♥. Also the Core Dominators aren't exactly killable solo in standard space battle. This round I try to get the most... well... peaceful endings for any of them. I remember you can send Keller away but you can also make him join forces with the coalition, but you need to be admiral for that... I want him to be my buddy he is the least jerkish of them, outright nice actually :<! I managed to get Blazer under Coalition control once already, but I think because of his MO Terron must be killed.

look at me being the noob haha. ive already clocked 30 plus hours on one playthrough and i still don't know jack. thats why this game is so damn good! thats also not counting the time when i was younger and had the retail copy

Well I had SR2 from a friend a few years ago, too. Was fun back then too (Planetary Battle Missles ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OP). Well just fyi Keller looks easy but before you can actually kill them he vanishes into the black hole they came out from. Also they still have 3k health and one shot of them damages me for 100 and my ship then had 36% + 16 protection so yeah, fighting them alone is a big nono and Keller is rather weak compared to the other two. The only reason why Keller usually has the bulk of dominator space is... well... the Keller series does it FOR SCIENCE!!!

But I still wonder how I can become the very best, like no one ever was! The biggest pimp in the known galaxy! NO! Emperor of mankind? HERESY! *Blam* (ok ok) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Admrial. I still don't get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ told about that ingame.

Alright, you still get points but nobody tells you ♥♥♥♥ about that rank , because it doesn't exist (in-universe) yet! or shows you how many points you still need. Just got promoted.
