That all sounds fantastic to be honest, I'm massively interested in playing this on PC rather than on switch, but as a whole I like the positive details and reasons you've given!
I hope you enjoy the games!
Edit: Also, the game does come with some convenience options like auto-battle/instant KO or faster game speed/battle speed for cutting down the grind. So you know, makes waiting for magnus to change less of a pain for those who want to complete everything. I might've been able to do it naturally 20 years ago but now I'm old w/ less time and less patience lol.
I wont support people who openly hate my kind.
You used the word "woke" without a hint of irony, and you ignored the thread title. Your point is instantly invalidated.
They do not know. All the culture war tourists know is if someone on twitter says game is work they are supposed to be mad so they get mad at the new thing.
This is an exciting release purely for the matter of it being it's first release on PC outside of consoles. I appreciate you may be disappointed in one way or another but I intended for this thread to be about the positives people have about the release.
BK1 was literally my favorite RPG on the Gamecube, hands down. When it finally ended, I felt empty. And now I'm getting to relive the experience, but with more knowledge of how to actually play the game properly this time. lmao
The Steam version is actually my double-dipping, I was already about 30 hours in the Switch version, but oh well.
I bought the first game for $6 a few years later and Origins for $20 and the rest is history. Having fond memories building decks & EX combos, getting stuck on the Holololo Bird, and listening to Motoi Sakuraba's possibly most underrated soundtracks.
And say what you will about the English dubs, but at least the VOs put some heart into their performances and there is some charm with it. Some of my favorite titles on the Gamecube and one of my favorite RPGs to play of all time, either one.
The lack of a dub mildly annoyed me, but that's easily fixed via modding (you literally just drag and drop the original audio files into the sound folder). The only major change I've seen so far is that the Origins guardian spirit is referred to gender-neutrally, and it honestly makes way more sense to do it this way when referring to a disembodied being who is supposed to represent the player. I'm honestly confused as to why the original version of the script didn't do it this way in the first place.
