Tested on Index, so maybe I'm missing some controls but here's my list of negatives
- Absolutely zero menu
- The spawn/offset was off and I had to reposition myself with OVR
- Game bugged out on me three times, which required me to restart the game;
-- First time was the order getting stuck to my hand
-- Second time was the order NOT leaving the little blue orb pop up
-- Third time was just because
- AWFUL tutorial. The guy that shows up is cute and VA work is good, but there's literally zero Tutorial outside of him telling you to use your tongs to grab the axe and place it on the lathe
- No Tutorial for the lathe
- Every single order I received had a star on the bottom left, and one piece of wood on the bottom right which was NOT explained. Each one gave some kind of little story such as a practice spear, or a pickaxe handle, but there was literally zero requirement outside lathing it a bit. Every order could be "Finished" by just chipping a bit away
- Despite doing several orders, still was only receiving post cards with One Star and One Piece of Wood
Overall, I didn't know what to do, or how to properly "Finish" an order. There's no feedback, and as I mentioned before, the tutorial does absolutely nothing to explain how/what you're supposed to do next.
I'll happily check this game out if you guys end up having an updated demo, because the premise of the game is fantastic. I played A Township Tale and LOVED the crafting/blacksmithing portion of it so this was right up my alley.
Hope to see an improved player-experience in the future.
Also, I'd like some kind of snapping option so you can align pieces edge to edge, it doesn't have to be for always on, since i like the freedom of aligning pieces. However an option to press a button to snap the piece to its edges would be nice.
I must have gotten extremely unlucky then~ I couldn't even progress at all.
We take notes of everything that has been listed and I am currently writing a bug report.
We will let you know when there's an updated demo of the game. THANK YOU!

Did you hit the nails the tutorial prompted you to hit? Or did you hit any of the inactive nails?
We have solved bug "quest getting stuck to hand" on our end. We will inform when updated demo is out.
Did you try to pick up the order from the blue orb or was it completely stuck?
As you finish the request for the order, you put it in the orb and pick up the letter. Then you go to the mailbox next to the Merchant and sends it off.
If you remember any details, please let me know. Thank you! (we are currently hunting this bug down)
We found the bug so it will be pushed in the next update of the demo! I'll make an announcement when new demo is live. Thank you for playing so far!
Hopped on today after the small update, and the user experience was MUCH more enjoyable this time around. Things ran smooth and I was able to progress up to the point where I was able to smelt Copper and begin working on that~
Still had to restart the game 2 or 3 times because I went "Ahead" of the beginning tutorial prompt and that caused it to bug out.
Thank you for the updated review! I have taken notes regarding bugged out tutorial if players accidentally goes ahead. That has been noted from our side when developing aswell. So happy this time was much more enjoyable for you!
The old man is constantly saying things like: "HEY!, I'm back!" and moaning. This gets anoying after a while.
I think it would be much better if he didn't moan or just doesn't say things so frequently.
I liked the rest of the game!
