I personally like Peacock as far as skills go, not sure if you'd have that yet, but it makes it easier to get those flying enemies. Also the moment you get regenerate, buy that one and equip it and level it up as much as you can. It helps a lot in the later areas, just move around a lot and stay out of the way, hit with peacock when you can and you heal up a bit and still do damage. Combine with blocking and backstepping and it can be a livesaver. Also when you continue you keep whatever experience you got before running out of health, so that can help too since you might get a level in the meantime.
I'm using STR Up and Regen and they helped a lot beating Shynie (I retreated a couple of times onto a mushroom and dodge-hopped back and forth until I healed up to full again) but Regen at least doesn't seem helpful on the vortex levels.
Should I switch to Berserker maybe?
If you're having trouble hitting the birds, you may want to consider equipping Tears of Sol and/or Lightning Drop - the large areas of these skills make hitting the birds easier - but if it's just not being hit by them that's the problem then I have no ideas, since I get hit by them a lot too.
Edit: You could also try jumping to just below the ledge and using Silhouette Mirage to teleport past it, since the birds usually attack at ground level? I dunno, if knockback is a problem then Berserker might not be a bad idea, but I think it is still possible to get knocked over with it equipped.
and don't have any problems with normal enemies either, heck I like it when I get over run by enemy. cos I love the effect when they hit each other X3
takes about 1h to get the game through if you don't do anything stupid....with that I mean dying.
I play on easy and I can't beat Plum (day 20) and watching YT videos doesn't help at all. Boss battles are something worst I ever saw!
My review of game:
------
Very good fighting game EXCEPT boss battles. They are TERRIBLE. Boss' attacks will interupt your attack on them which is COMPLETE BULLS.IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And less they have energy, their attacks become stronger, they use more advanced attacks and they cheat because they read your moves easily, and that's just in EASY mode!!! COMPLETE and UTTER BULLS.IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More BS - there are only good several skills and if you don't buy them - play again, ha ha - NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DON'T WASTE your money on it except if it's not part of some (indie) bundle.
-------
The only good thing I got in some indie bundle otherwise I would totally waste my money.
I have no idea how you managed to get through the autumn shooty monsters (the red ones I think), though. Those things are absurd.
(apparently steam forums partially ♥-out a certain synonym of absurd?)
