I like Path of Silence as it is easily the most challegeing and for me it is fun.A goal I am currently working on is to complete the enitre game using Path of Silence in extra game mode and not kill any enemies except of course for the mercanary leader and Kharizan(they do not count during the end of mission tally anyway).I got all the way to the end of the level where you kill the mercanray with the Aussie accent(you can kill him by the way without killing the two snipers in the room it is tricky though).I got annoyed on the next level though and ran through it in Path of Nightmares.
The Path of Nightmares is kind of fun as well but sometimes it can be a hindreance and when you terroize a guard the body that he saw becomes impossiable to hide so if you terroize many guards you miss out on the points you can ern for hiding bodies.
The Path of Hunter is ok but I do not like how they make kills easier I would rather have seen you get three item slots or silent movement in place of easier kills.Path of strength I use the least I do not use the "focus" mode very often so the pentaly of that path(focus not stopping time) has no bearing on my play style.
Path of the Mark can be very fun as well I have found that you can use the path of serenity and pass "though" a gurad or dog in doing so you will get the points for undected.Path of serenity can also be used to pass through lasers without tripping them or getting killed by them depending on the type.
A realted question I think is interesting is what distraction and attack items do you use?For an offensive Path I usually use the upgraded Terror darts those and the upgarded floor trap are most useful.Distraction item wise I use the upgraded smoke bombs. If am rolling Path of Hunter I use the Terror Darts and the raveius bugs.Path of Silence I roll with smoke bombs and the cardborad box(Metal Gear!).
The way you unlock the diffrent Paths is to complete the three seals in each mission each seal is the style of a certin Path and when you get all of the seals for a Path you unlock that style.
Pretty much exactly like me. Some people say that the Path of Silence is good because it's challlenging. I think it's harder because it's pretty bad (in my opinion).
Path of Silence is harder becuase you cant easily kill enemies your only options are to use level traps and envirmental traps(the cheandleers and the bombs in the desert levels). The point is to force you to realy purely ob stealth and well timed distracions to get past tricky parts.
There are differing opnions but there is no question that Path of Silence is the most challengning and Path of Hunter is the least challenging.I find Path of Hunter about as boring as you find Path of Silence.
I don't find the Path of the Hunter to be the least challenging. I think it's the default Path of the Ninja, as it's very well balanced and usable by everyone.
Not always the most effective one, but definitely the most entertaining.
Remember using it during a part where you had to wait out a timer in a large room filled with guards, killed one guy, then hid and watched the domino effect as everyone went crazy.
EDIT: Tried it out, made that level a joke. Set up a spike mine at each side of the top part of the room, and they ended up mostly killing each other, being harmless for me nonetheless
