Game constantly crashing in both Windows 7 and 8

I have had constant crashes with this game. I have tried updating my BIOS, Graphics Drivers and Sound Drivers, as well as completly removing my sound card.

I am running on Windows 8 64bit with an AMD Radeon HD 7900 card. After a crash i looked at my event log and copied this error:

Mmm, makes me wonder it its got something to do with Windows 8. I've heard that quite a few games have a problem with it. Have you tried running under windows 7 compatibility mode. I have windows 7 and it runs with no crashing.

Yes, Ive actually got Windows 7 installed as well. It ran fine on my old system, but not on the new system which leads me to think it might have something to do with my memory or video card.....but its only a few games that crash (Sim City, LEGO Lord of the Rings, The Sims, Need for Speed: Most Wanted)

When you say new system is it new as in new PC / hardware?

Yes, new PC and Hardware.

Well as you say then it could be anything. Are all the drivers up to date. If not may be worth updating.
