Yes I know. Would be great if anyone with a similar setup to mine could give feedback. Its so hit and miss with intel HD cards.

I have win 7 and I purchased the game hours ago. It runs fine.

If it can run Skyrim at low to med settings, then it'll run on your laptop. Lego games aren't very demanding, so you can go ahead and enjoy your purchase.

It should, the Intel HD 3000 card is not too bad and for a game like LEGO Lord of the Rings, I highly doubt you'll have trouble playing this game.

even with an gt555m i could play the game with everything on maximal possible + some tweaks of my own and still be on 40+ fps easily and my hd3000 could also play it easy (though with vsync etc. on it was hard to keep it above 30 fps.. but noone uses vsync anyway :P) ... its a lego game, anything can run a lego game :P

Thanks guys. Think I will give it a go after hearing some of your comments. :)

It will work, I only just noticed catalyst had defaulted to power saving on my laptop and was using the HD graphics, absolutely no different to running it on my 7970m

Got it and so far it runs absolutely fine :)

Cool, might buy it myself then :P

Yeah, with the intel chips its pretty hard to judge sometimes. You can get games that you think should run, but just don't. And others that you would think would be beyond its power, but that do actually manage. Wish devs would specify, its becomming a pretty 'common' type of card, its the third-place brand.
