Mount Doom Frodo/Gollum Glitch?

I'm experiencing a problem in the Mount Doom level in the first scene inside the mountain. When it switches to Frodo with Gollum on his back I am unable to move or take any actions at all. I can switch to Sam and run around, but that is about it. It happens in both story mode and freeplay. Has anyone else had this problem? It is preventing me from getting the last mithril brick I need. Any suggestions?

Hmmm...I didn't have a problem on this level. So you are not able to shake Gollum off your back as Frodo? Are you using invincibility? Thanks for the reply, but I don't think that is the problem. I've heard about the invincibility issue, but I haven't even unlocked that red brick yet, so I don't think that is the problem. Any other thoughts?

I had the same problem same. I then tried switching off my active red bricks, which seems to work. .

It happened for me as well. On the two first times when Gollum is on Frodo's back i could easily throw him off. But not on the last time when Sam is stuck down there. So i wont be able to complete the whole Story Mode :/

I still have this problem, even with all red bricks off. It's kinda infuriating; all I'm missing for 100% is the Magma Rock (and the associated brick for completing the treasure, the associated brick for turning in the quest, the final forged item, and completing the final red brick quest as a result).

Thanks for help. I was playing the free play and had same issue. I turned all red blocks off and it works.

I have this same problem. I don't have any red bricks unlocked and I can not finish the game :(

I think I found the problem. The camera box is interupting the actions. I found that if I moved the camera around to every angle while hitting the blu button, eventually it would work and frod would throw gollum off. I found a similar problem just outside bree and moving the camera helped there as well.

Problem solved for me when I switched from 144Hz to 59 and enabled VSync

At Mt Doom where Gollum never seems to jump off of Frodo( NOT invincible),
1--try hitting Gollum with Sam
2--switch back to Frodo
3--rinse repeat until Gollum jumps off of Frodo then switch to Sam and attack Gollum
else save and restart level

Where Sam cannot drag Frodo up from the brink, try turningON verical sync(how ODD).

Gollum sometimes fall of Frodo by himself.
When I played as Frodo in Mount Doom I pressed H button many times and didn't work, so without pausing game I searched help on phone and after minute he jumped off by himself.

I also had bug when Gollum after jumping off Frodo, jumped right back on him, probably because I stood too close Frodo when hitting Gollum as Sam. In that case I had to restart mission, and fight him on bridge, not platform.

Actually it solved issue for me.

Turning to 60hz and enabling VSYNC worked for me aswell!!
