Lego not starting up, missing dll files, no sound- SOLUTION HERE WITH DL LINKS!

Ok guys after hours of searching there is 3 DLL files you need here are the links:

After downloading these 3 things (make sure you download the ZIP file not the fixer) go to computer/programfiles/steam/steamapps/common/LEGO Lord of The Rings/
place all 3 DLL files in there,

You will probably know there will be no sound download directx to have sound the link is below:

Once you have installed that your game now works perfectly.

Yeah I installed the sound file and it doesn't work? I did it just like the DLL files

I had the same problem, but it's fixed by downloading the latest directx, you don't need to download individual .dll files

Did as you instructed. Game now loads. I did have to change the compatibility mode and run as administrator. As you predicted, no sound. Installed Direct X SDK from your link. Works now with sound. Thank you :) I'm a happy bunny now.

I had the same problem and was able to resolve it by manually installing directx 9. I found a version of direcxt9 that is compatible with Windows 8 at the below URL:

Okay So if people are still having trouble with the voices i finally found out multiple ways for it to work.

1. Download the files that Marine has put up for you guys
2. If that doesn't work you need to update your Sound Drivers
3. and if that doesn't work the way LLOTR was made, it couldn't use 5.1 or 7.1 headsets. so what you need to do is change your sound settings to Stereo (im using Realtek) . I'm using a Siberia V2 headset and whenever i put it to 7.1 it never worked but when i updated my Sound Drivers the setting got put straight to Stereo making it work. But after putting it back to 7.1 it decided not to work again.

Everyone might have it fixed now but that's all i know with the game so this could help i guess.

I have the latest DirectX 11.2, but d3dx9 uses 32 bit windows, and im on 64. I was wondering if this is why i still don't have sound.

I have DirectX 11.2. Is the game not compatible with that? I don't particularly want to downgrade, as that might affect my gaming performance.
a) Will it decrease performance in other games?
b) Do I need DirectX 9?
c) Rather pissed that I got a new laptop and it doesn't work on it :(
