Black screen on start up?

Whenever I try to play this game, I happen to get a black screen. I hear music from the game, but nothing appears. Extra info..I have two monitors, the monitor that is supposed to be running the game goes offline when i try to run it, and other monitor is a still on. DirectX is up to date. I am running windows 7 x64 bit. Any tips?

Just fixed this. In the search box (Start Button) type C:\Users\Your user name\App data\Roaming then double click the warner games file then lego lord of rings and open the config file with wordpad. Change the two top setting (Screen height and Width) to your monitors correct resolution and then click file and save. Should work now.

I found another way as well, change your screen resolution to very basic 800x600. Then start game, change resolution in game then go to desktop and switch it to whatever it was normally at.

I know it has been long time, but I had the same issue and wanted to share that besides installing directX 9, I needed to switch from headphones to laptop speakers

damn smhhhh and it was working fine i thought changing the resolution to original would work or even delete and re-install but nothing if anyone finds a way to solve that problem let me know :( cause i really trying to get 100% on that game
