AMD Radeon 6870 crossfire flickering
Anyone else getting really bad flickering, especially when multiple scenes are shown on the screen at once?

Any ideas?

I have a 4870 HD X2 and under normal circumstances, get excellent playability and frame rates. I DO however notice that during cut scenes (not always) and oddly when Frodo goes into the spectral world after putting on the Ring (most times), there will be a lot of (increasingly) bad flicker. This may go away once the visuals change in some way, or I have had to adjust resolution settings temporarily which appears to fix the flickering. A very odd side effect of this flicker glitch has also appeared. When this happens, a "bowl-like" graphical glitch appears on the 1st player screen that is quite large and I could not make it go away without exiting the game and restarting. It is clearly not intentionally part of the display and goes away once I restart the game.

I have a Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.8Ghz, 4GB RAM, under 64bit Vista and the Radeon 4870 HD X2.

I would also love if someone identified the source of these graphical glitches!

Fixed by using RadeonPro and forcing Alternate Frame crossfire mode. I shouldn't have to do this.

Sorry to revive an old thread but this worked like a charm for me running a HD 5970 in Xfire mode!
