Instructions are all there. Usable with USB and bluetooth adapters. And none of MotionJoy's seedy past.
I heard it once had viruses/ malware/ adware in the like. Granted, that may be resolved now.
That said, more then a few places will steer you away from MotionJoy now. I used it for a bit, and while it did work, it did do a few odd/ suspicious things at times (opening a webpage when I was just trying to load a driver, and yes, my PC scans for viruses once a week. Nothing came up). This was 2012 to sometime earlier this year, in case you're wondering.
I had a lot of trouble with this. I finally managed to get it working (motioninjoy DS3 0.7x, PS3 DS3 Sixaxis) as a "Xinput-default Xbox 360" controller emulator" but only as a dumb joypad, no analogue sticks. Also, some of the controls were weirdly configured. If you go into the motionjoy controller options, you'll see that the buttons don't seem to set up quite right, but I recommend you do not change them, but change them in-game.
As I was writing this guide, I realised that motioninjoy was not up to date. I updated it, then my sixaxis dropped out and motioninjoy said "Wait for controller(s) to be connected". It never reconnected, despite restarts and reinstalling it. it now says About > Driver v0.0.0.0 where it used to have 0.7x.
Windows still sees all the changes but now LEGO LOTR can't see the sixaxis anymore. FML.
I've just wasted about two hours on this and I'm over it. I have a generic USB gamepad, as well as PS/USB adaptors and an xbox controller with adaptor, I'll be moving to those in future.
Further Notes:
* Make sure you have the option saved in the custom panel, or selected in the main panel
* You do not need to restart either MotionInJoy or LEGO LOTR to detect changes
You can use a xbox controller with the game as is you dont need Motionjoy
ah got ya
I have the same problem but it's doesn't worl, you put Xbox or X360?
