If I may suggest a replacement, you may want to look at either the Logitech F310 ($30, perhaps less at other retailers) or F710 ($50, again, maybe less). They are identical, although the F710 is wireless (and seems to have force feedback, AKA rumble). But they both have the same/ similar design, and can play both DirectInput and XInput games (Lego LOTR is XInput I believe).
Here's a link to the F310:

Before, I used only keyboard to play Lego-games (Star Wars, Indiana Jones) - so this is my first controller. I thought that It is enough to have 10 buttons on controller because I didn't use more buttons on keyboard and I didn't use a mouse in previous games. So, when I decided to buy a new Lego-game I bought a simple controller to play it. That was a mistake.
If developers let player not to set all control buttons - I would be able to play. But now I should use keyboard or have to buy a new controller,
That's not very cool I think - spend 10$ on the game and 30$-50$ on controller to play it (I don't need it to play any other game, except Super Meat Boy
I'd like to point out that, under normal circumstances, the game is $30. But if you managed to get it for as low as $10 (I know it was $15 and then $7.49 during the recent Autumn Sale), then at least you have money left over to put towards a good controller. Heck, with the $20 saved, you'd be $10 (give or take shipping/ handling, but some sites like Amazon might have an offer to waive that charge) away from getting a F310. And you never know when you might get another game in the future that'll need/ reccomend it. Food for thought, anyhoo.

and configure keyboard in game
Thank you. I'll try it. Actually, I haven't played this game for a long time... I even forgot about this problem. But now I have a chance to solve it :)
Hey there.... Any progress with Pinnacle Gamer Profile?
Vaic, can you help us with this matter? I'm trying to add a "virtual" button to my controler by the keyboard, no success. =/
If you find how to do it - write, please. It will be useful in future.
