I'm stuck at Mount Doom after Gollum's death...

Just after the cinematic that follow the ring destruction, there's a checkpoint and frodon is hanging on the arm of Sam. To go back up with Sam, I have to HOLD or SPAM (idk) 'B' button on my pad, or 'A' key on my keyboard. I tried all I can, hold button, spam button, play with pad, play with keyboard... Nothing works... :(
I spend around 15 hours so far on the game, and around 15minutes on this bug, and due to checkpoint at bad timing, my save is maybe ruined... :'(
Must I restart the whole game from the beginning??? Or is there someone who already had this issue and who know how to get rid of it!?

I seriously don't want to restart it from the beginning... I guess I'll -rep this game if there's no solution...

I burned Gollum & the ring and I almost unlocked free game. I can't restart all now... :'(

I'm getting the same problem. I've been playing through on local co-op and can't get past the 'press B' bit after Gollum's death. I haven't been able to find a solution, but from viewing playthroughs it seems like this should be a standard button press, not a spam or hold.

I was playing in local co-op mode too... maybe it's part of the bug.

I managed to find a solution, I changed the resolution. Try another, maybe it was the problem. I hope it will be fixed for you too. Give feedback please.

I have the same problem too, but playing single player. I'm trying to solve it but I can't

try to finish the level without any extra activated, it worked for me

And another one.. no extra, single-player. Seems as if the game messes up the character selection. You should be Sam helping Frodo up, but in the upper left corner there's the picture of Frodo. You can't switch characters. Only way is to enable co-op, but still the game doesn't recognize neither 'K' nor Num3 (QWERTZ layout).
Ofc I only have this savegame.Changing solution doesn't help.

My solution was to join in a second player, drop the first player, and reload from the checkpoint.

Odd, i had vsync off the entire 100% and no bugs like this occured. Hell even isildur achievement popped when i jumped into the fire. Only bugs were the constant crashes and minikit/quest bugs which could be reset via restart game or changing files

This discussion saved me when I was ready to quit this game.

Vertical sync by itself didn’t fix it for me, but I reduced the resolution as much as I could also and that fixed it. What a pain.

Omfg this was also the solution for me, turning vsync on. Seriously thank you, but WTF.
