Xbox One Controller Disconnecting Constantly

Hi,

I'm trying to play this game with an Xbox One Wireless Controller however it appears to constantly disconnect. The middle LED on the controller starts breathing and essentially flashing relatively slow while disconnected. Then suddenly it connects again for ~2 minutes.

It is not a battery issue nor is it a controller issue as I play almost daily GTA V including some games such as Kingdom Hearts and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order using the very same controller. I have recently changed my batteries so I know it is not that!

It appears to only happen during this game and Lego The Hobbit - I have tested it using Lego Harry Potter 1-4 and 5-7 as well (as I only own these Lego Games!!). It looks like Middle Earth hates my controller haha!

I don't particularly want to play it with Mouse and Keyboard due to Lego games usually making me essentially do gymnastics with my fingers to play them!!

Any help on how to fix this would be great! Or I very well could just be forced to play with mouse/keyboard lol

Don't know if you've fixed the issue, but I had the same issue and managed to fix it by opening steam and clicking on the game and then properties, then clicking on controller and changing the drop down menu to 'enable steam input' so that it so that it enables the xbox controller for this game. Don't know why you have to do it for this game when every other game I've played works fine without doing this.
