PLEASE HELP - ISSUE WITH FRODO'S GLOWING PHIAL

Please help - it says you can use Frodo's glowing phial to light up dark areas but I can't seem to find it in my inventory.

Hold down K and it should be on the wheel for you to equip rather than opening the inventory at the bottom of the wheel :)

Frodo is the only character that can use it. If Frodo has the phial he will automatically use it when you walk him to the entrance of a dark area or you can use the wheel to equip it. For other characters the alternative light sources are the Luminous Stone (Pass of Caradhras treasure item), the Mithril Disco Phial (design from Minas Tirith) or using a Wizard.

Frodo is given the phial in the cutscene just before the Amen Hen story :)

Apparently during the Weathertop level there is a bug where a tip pops up stating that you can use the phial to light up dark areas. Obviously this tip shouldn't be appearing here since Frodo doesn't get the phial until later in the game. It just happened to me and, after some googling, I came across this thread. Hopefully this helps clarify.

I don't think it's a bug, just lazy design. For quite a time in game we have no strong character or item that makes us strong. Devs probably were not bothered to script whenever players were able to do some special actions and just slap that forever tip pop up on every single object lol.
