Report a translation problem
Pause before doing anything to the blocks and change all your Video/Effects to their lowest/off settings, and switch off all Extras. It will look awful but that should stop the problem, then you can just change back to your usual settings straight away.

Many console games need to be locked at 30 or 60 otherwise physics messes up majorly.
One example that comes to mind is "the darkness 2". The game appears to runs perfectly at any framerate, till halfway through the game you get stuck in a vent and can't progress unless your frames are at 30.
Fallout 4 is also a good example. The higher the frames, the more broken the physics.

What worked for me was to keep the block from touching the edge of the "track" while pushing. If you push it too far in any direction, push it back a little before you start pushing it in another direction.
