Haven't played much, but it's working "ok" so far - I just alt-tabbed to add ESC to the select button, else I still have to use the keyboard when wanting to leave the map :)
E)
*cough* Not sure wtf is up..
I tried launching a program which locked the game up - Had to restart steam, couldn't log on so I had to go into offline mode:
- Now the controller works, and displays xbox controls properly o.O
- I'm online again, removed my previous keyboard-to-controller bindings and it STILL works o.O
If you don't have it already, download DS4 and perhaps give Steam a restart.
Click steam in the upper left corner of steam
Go to settings
Go to controller in the list of setings on the left hand side
Click "General Controller settings" from that screen.
In the screen that comes up make sure "Playstation Controller Support" is checked
(You can also make sure steam sees your controller on that screen.)
Edit: Steam has changed the settings ui slightly since I wrote this mini-guide Here is the updated version:
1. Click steam in the upper left corner
2. Go to settings
3. Go to Controller on the left hand side
4. Make sure "Enable Steam Input for Playstation Controllers" is turned on
I think thats it with the updated settings ui. I'll keep the old instructions up just in case they'll help anyone.
There's also an article somewhere on Steam that discusses the controllers they support natively but if it's listed in Windows Device Manager or Windows Devices (shortcut menu for 10/11) then Steam typically picks it up also (sometimes you have to go through the Big Picture mode though which is kind of odd). After that it's simply a matter of going through the in-game options and ensuring player1 & player2 controller settings aren't stuck on default which some Lego TT games revert to even after you've gone through the effort to change them. Anyway, if you're issue was solved earlier then happy gaming this is more for others who may visit with a similar problem or some additional troubleshooting information.
helped me out in 2024. thanks mate. my default "Enable Steam Input for Playstation" setting was on the middle option, i just changed it full "enabled" and it worked. have a nice day.
