Is the split-screen really that jarring?
Just finished Jurassic World on the Wii U and figured we'd grab the rest on Steam since my PC will have drastically shorter load times, but also it will be much cheaper (still $20 for the Wii/Wii U versions) but I looked up a video for the Harry Potter and it seems the way the game does the split screen would give us a massive headache.

I've noticed a lot of other people saying the way the split screen works is incredibly difficult to get used to, so I'm wondering if we should just bite the bullet and get the Wii U versions (that version has one player use the gamepad as one screen while the other uses the TV - no split screen) or if the split screen eventually gets less noticeable.

If you want to play Co-op I would avoid the PC version as you would need two people to share the PC. It would be much easier using the Wii U gamepad or a console version where you have multiple controllers.
I have multiple controllers on the PC... Wired 360 controllers are cheaper than the Wii U version, not to mention you can turn off the dynamic split screen and play just fine.

My monitor is big enough to accomdate two people easily and I have a soundbar that I can connect to when I co-op, then swap back to my 7.1 headset when I'm playing something else.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to play these games all on console, but they are still incredibly expensive on consoles. I just grabbed six lego games on Steam for the same price as I would have paid for a single Wii U game.
