Crash right after Buckleberry Ferry ride

Seems like this hasn't been solved yet and I only just got the game and I've hit a wall.

Just finished the second mission, after the first time in Hobbiton.
After sneaking past the Nazgul and getting past the end mission screen - I can take maybe two steps forward and then hard crash.
Tried turning my graphics down and still nothing.

Edit: Seems like it's triggered whenever you're in a certain distance.
I was able to go left from that ferry and go around to Tom Bombadil, but then on the way back, it caught me with that crash again.

Edit 2: I MADE IT TO BREEE haha
I just did what I did last time - go through the fence on your left from the ferry. Skirt the mountain and the lake and run through the brush straight to the front door of the town.
Got inside and got to the save stone thingy right away and now I'm onto the next mission.

The save location is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\-+YourNumber+-\214510\remote\savedgames\slot4

The "-+YourNumber+-" might differ between users.

It's best to click on each option to see what folder has a ton of other folders inside all with numbers (thats where 214510 comes in).

I just tried to go through the first two missions quick. They got True Adventurer and 1 minikit I think.
I just ran straight to Bree and saved. Didn't do anything in The Shire or anything else.

There wasn't a cutscene so I'm not sure what it was.

Damn. It's a really odd glitch too. I think it's a broken cutscene that's trying to play.

Maybe validate files and try the same thing again?

If not, try make it as close as you can and hope it catches you with an autosave somewhere.

It's just frustrating because I know that lots of people have had this issue and they haven't seemed to make much effort to fix it. If they continue selling it they should at least make it playable.

It's just frustrating because I know that lots of people have had this issue and they haven't seemed to make much effort to fix it. If they continue selling it they should at least make it playable.

I believe it's no longer for sale. Was removed from the Steam, XBOX and PS4 store along with the Hobbit not long ago. I only got it because I missed out and bought a key online.

If there was a way I could find the save files, I could start a new one, get up to Bree for you and send you it. But I had a look and I can't find anything.

I could just send the game's folder for you to overwrite what you like with mine, but I feel like that might cause it to crash on start up or something.

This did the trick for me:
