Anyone else hate the new controller layout?
Got into the demo super stoked but the controller layout felt so janky and awkward... I loaded up the original game and I was back in the flow in seconds despite not playing for quite a while, and I am someone who usually forgets games control schemes within a few weeks of not playing...lol

Despite having multiple layouts for controller I didn't see one that matched the last game. We definitely need an option to customize controller layout...

Major buzz kill. Hope this isn't final.

I mean, if you play with mouse and keyboard it's pretty much the same though?

That may be true but the post is about controller layout. I can't use KM due to extensor overuse injury.

Yea, I hate it. They even have alternative control schemes but they are all terrible. The original games scheme was great because your thumb was always on the thumbstick for camera movement, jump, and dodge. Everything felt super natural. now it seems you have to take a finger off one thing to do another in every scenario which isn't great considering most of the time you start off by jumping - moving camera while in air. Also for everyone just saying play with keyboard and mouse. Movement based/platforming games just feel better on a controller especially games where you strafe alot. Yea its not as precise but honestly having millisecond aim kind of just reduces the mechanics of games.

+1 for a custom controller layout, as in the first game, hope the devs add it later.

Yeah this was a day 1 buy for me until I played the demo. I'm so stoked for the game but the controllers just felt too awkward. Will wait for a patch or mod.

My thoughts exactly. The first game had it feeling so natural, this feels like tripping over my own feet.
