Game will not launch

When launching the game via steam (its desktop shortcut and inside of the steam library), or directly launching the executable inside the game files, the game will not launch/open up. Steam reports it as running, however, when checking task manager, the game related processes, and even the game itself, are shown as background processes rather than as app processes, and there is no app process of the game itself. I've updated my gpu drivers, running the game as admin, and switching between directx 11 and 12, but the game does not launch. I also found it weird that steam reports its file size as 64gb, but during download, it only downloaded 24gb, though this concern may just be chalked up to dev magic.

Not sure if you've found a solution, but i found that running the game in compatibility mode for windows 7 allows the game to launch. To replicate my solution, open file explorer, go to the drive where you have Steam on, go to Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ghostrunner 2, right click the .exe, go to properties, click on compatibility, select the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", and select Windows 7 and click apply.

still doesn't work... tried some combinations, run as admin, compatibility win7, win8, vista, etc. none work

I've solved my problem, turns out it's issue about drive of my graphic card. while playing the talos principle 2, a window popped out says there is issue about my graphic card with its drive, and this finally solved the problem.
