So were improvements rolled for this? Why is this issue still on the list?
Could the devs simply add option in the game for pre-compiling all shaders for those who want to do it?
I would much rather wait 20 minutes and compile all shaders to my SSD, instead of having frame rate drop to 0 every few seconds.
I hate attacking devs personally, but the stuttering is so horrendously bad I am legit hoping this company either goes out of business or radically changes their approach to optimization. There is no excuse whatsoever for a game to run this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terribly. Many people were complaining about the stuttering in GR1, the devs didn't give a single ♥♥♥♥. Not to mention how they didn't fix a single glitch/bug/design choice regarding hitboxes and movement mechanics, which now are even worse than in GR1.
This is the first time I'm saying it about any release ever: this game is unplayable. They could've made it a masterpiece, instead it's one of the worst titles I've ever seen. If they fixed the optimalization and the polished the movement, it would've been an easy 8 or 9. Right now it's a zero, because I am physically unable to finish a level due to insane fps drops and my character just doing whatever the ♥♥♥♥ he wants.
Dude, what hardware are you playing on? My game works fine and it is brilliant.
Laptop with RTX 3080 Ti, and cpu i7-12850HX
Exactly. Personally, I would wait even one hour and have smooth seamless gameplay the whole game.
Stuttering is the cancer of the gaming industry.
I literally hate UE4 games.
me too. feels to me like 3 out of 4 ue4 games are stuttering. hate this engine
could you give some examples?
aside from GR2 of course, this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke
unfortunately no. i played too many games so i dont remember specific games with this problem.
Playing on a Ryzen 3600 and RTX 3070 on 1440p.
hey friend, we have roughly the same build! youi're the first other person I've run into with the 3600/3070/1440p build...
ALSO there is a patch today for the game! It seems they are actively working on it.
Looked at the Update history of Ghost runner 2 and there is no updates at all. Also there is no new community post about any update made to the game.
No new updates.
Thing is the game runs perfect and smooth with our setup with DX11, only when you force it to run with DX12 is when the permonfance drops abruptly (even when RT off) and that is something i don't really understand. The game without RT looks awesome, but i want to play it with RT on, as i did with the first game :)
PD: probably going to upgrade the Ryzen 3600 because in some games the gpu gets bottleneck. But is a good setup for 1440p overall.
I got a update today few hours ago.
