Word of warning on game length.
The entire game can be completed in 5-7 hours from start to finish. You'd have to deliberately pause several times, die an obnoxious amount of times, or spend an unusual amount of time "soaking it all in" to pad it out or make an insane claim like "it's 10-20 hours long bro".

Just be aware of what you're getting. You are paying $40 dollars (or more if you bought the special editions) for a roughly 5-7 hour game. I'd seriously recommend waiting for a sale.

I didn't "clown" anyone in this thread and I did not say anything about your tastes. I have given maybe 2-3 clown awards in 16 years of using Steam.

I didn't mean clowning literally, I mean this entire thread is basically just shilling for a game you spent $70 on with zero reason or logic behind why when someone is just pointing out that you're paying a lot of money for a very short sequel that isn't reviewing all that well.

Which is an incredibly reasonable take, despite what everyone losing their minds is saying.

Just finished first playthrough, with some exploring (not 100%) it took me like 9,5 h. I had so much fun and of course will coming back for more for achievements etc. Worth it!

Sounds totally reasonable to me. I don't think I'd ever expect a first person action game to be over 10 hours to complete--I don't want that. I just want well made games that aren't totally grindy, I'd much rather have "short" and sweet and replay than play something that wastes my time and pads itself out. Good riddance to bloated games.

That's fine but $70 bucks for a short moderate quality indie is yikes no matter how you split it.

I can enjoy a short game and also not be robbed blind at the same time. Will wait until base game goes on discount, I guess. Thanks OP.

Good thing the games not $70

devs told me it will be longer than the first one. So basically they lied.

I just played for roughly 3 hours, I knew what I was getting into.

I got over 60 hours of fun out of first one, so I'm expecting to get quite a lot of fun for my money here as well.

It also depends on what type of player you are, if you play a game once and you're done a game like this might be expensive, but I tend to play games I like quite a few times if I enjoy the mechanics, so I'm not worried.

Dang hot take from a Twitch streamer who can’t hold a real job :lunar2019laughingpig:
Dude... this is one of the sh.ttiest and overused comebacks (for what or why I'm not sure) I've ever read, are you so braindead that you had to ask chat gpt for a sh.itty insult? Man, if you want to seem smart you must not look like a braindead bot.

Damn, after watching your profile not only you're not following your own tip, but I might start thinking you really are a bot, that's one of the most artificial and cheesy sentences I've read my whole life.

It really depends, right? If you play a game multiple times, which a game like this is perfect for speedrunning, then you'll get your $40 worth. If you only plan to play it once wait on a sale. It's not hard to figure out or anything to argue over.

Yeah, well, the steam forums really aren't where you go to find rational takes, especially since moderation tends to be on the low side.

And clown rewards or any kind of rewards mean as little to an argument as upvotes or downvotes. By your own logic, "rightness" would meana a pedo is right and you 1000% agree with his views on fiddling a certain demographic if he has more upvotes/positive rewards than everyone else, amrite?

Instead of pointing out rewards, maybe use your brains?

Asking for a lot here, I know, and yeah I get this is the game's own forums so most people here will be blind fanatics--as clearly proved already--but for anyone else coming in, I would seriously suggest looking at the reviews for this game first and understand that there are way better uses of your money this year.

That's all.

Worth its value then.
In UK we have average £12 per hour pay, plus/minur a pound in some places. So you pay 40 quids, equal to your 4 working hours. Still have 3 hrs worth play-time. Add replay time, exploration and achievements hunting, and you get double value.

We pay 40 euro for a GOOD game and im totally fine with it. This game has tons of replayability and it will get more content in future like GR1.

I'd even pay 60 for this. You know whats funny? People pay money for cybertrash 2077 DLC while it should be free. NMS and 2077 both had the worst launch of all time and yet 2077 scams their fans and you say 40 is too much for an amazing game made with LOVE and not with hate.

Regardless, you should be paying for the experience and enjoyment you get out of playing the game, and not the length. Don't really get why people care so much about how long a game is.
same lmfao i die like atleast 100 times every level
