Three Good Maps
I've played for 200 hours, many of those looking at maps. As such, I'd like to share three with you that I thought were too good not to share:

581736 - 5 iron, 2 super perfect plots (3 iron on one) and quick access to vehicle unlocks + book.
480709 - 6 iron rounded
897918 - 6 iron

All three have good starting resources using the default map values.

To use these, simply copy/paste or type in the map id when starting a new game. Do not change the map settings to remove large/medium settlements and...

Enjoy!

what other resources are on those maps?, still need swamps, gardens, iodine. Never found a map that has everything on one large settlement area yet. I guess this is to make us use create other settlements areas. Iron is great but so are all those other resources.

The Map ID 581736 is the closest I've found to perfect in the sense it has swamp, coal and large farms/gardens. Having one plot with 3 iron made growth much faster.

And you never will. It is not just that you need to make other settlements, but because the settlements themselves are not big enough to handle all those resources AND enough land to build what is needed to process those resources.

Example:

It has pretty much every major resource except a swamp. Even if you traded one of those resources for a swamp, you would not have enough space for buildings nor food to feed everyone. It's simply by design.

thanks I might try that map with my next game. How do you find the current map Id i'm playing. I think I found a decent one.

The easiest way is to click the "report a bug"in the top right, then look in there for the map ID under "Attached Data" where it says: "[Attribute] Map Seed" . Otherwise, you have to open the save file in a text editor like notepad++.

It will if you select anything other than defaults. That's just what happens when you change the parameters of the map drawing.
