But seriously, can anybody here explain the joke? I just finished Droggeljug mode, I feel like the least I've earned is an explaination.

It's a joke on the Drugglejug character from the Edna & Harvey series ;).

My game seems to be a bit glitched out. All of Rufus' droggeljugs are replaced with "YYYYIPPIIIEEEEE-droggeljug-erj-YAAHOOOOO!" Which will probably tip the annoying scale a little too far for a droggeljug run.

I don't think that's a glitch, that's what mine was, too. I gave up and turned the sound off after about 45 minutes.

I'm pretty sure it is a glitch, the videos I saw on youtube of it had him saying druggeljug normally. Deponia seems to be a pretty buggy game. Nothing really game breaking in my experience, but the steam forums for the game are filled with bug reports and workarounds.

I played the entire Druggeljug mode without sound because of how annoying that was.
They give the most annoying Druggeljug quote to the character with the most speaking, way to go Daedalic. I guess it shows dedication to put up with it...
