heard this game was short
i've had this and the sequel on my wishlist for a while after I saw how interesting and fun they looked but recently I found out that this one is kinda short? can anyone confirm maybe how many hours of gameplay this is (I know $5 isnt much and I'm glad it's on sale but still if it's like super short I probably wouldn't buy it)

There is steam guide walkthrough that contans around 4 hours of gameplay.

I've seen the first two videos, they aren't speed up or cut.

I must be a really slow player then. Steam shows me as taking 16 hours to comlete the game. Maybe a couple of hours of that was the game sitting idle, but it is by no means a short game.

And it's definitely an excellent game, I highly recommend it.

Since it is a trilogy and only two parts are published so far, I would wait with a purchase.

I've kinda wanted to play this game for a while now though, $5 seems like a good opportunity
of course I'd hate to buy it now and then a great price for the whole trilogy to come later :/

well 6 hours-ish at least doesn't sound bad, I didn't realize the 2nd game was also on sale (and that it's longer/better than the first) so I guess I will pick both up for $10, thanks all :P

I tried the demo and didn't like it. :P But that's just me.

Took me 11.9 hrs, its not that short.. I suppose if I knew exzactly where to go and knew every single dialog option then I guess it might be.. but who's going to play it like that??

took me about 2 weeks of playing 1 hour per night :-) Depends how long it takes you to solve the puzzles etc

It isn't not a long game, but it is fairly average length for a point and click adventure. It does have a great story, beautiful art, and is extremely enjoyable though. If you are a fan of the genre then definitely pick these up. I know I payed full price for both 1 and 2 and don't regret it in the slightest. I also recommend checking out The Whispered World.

Took me 7 hours for Deponia, and 9 hours for Chaos on Deponia.

I highly recommend for the story, but the puzzles sometimes don't make sense. Have a guide handy.

I'm on 16 and counting. Granted, I'm not the best point-and-click player, I'm avoiding walkthroughs unless I can't help it, there may have been a bit of idle time and I'm generally taking my time, but I think this is a very substantial game. Well worth the price of admission even at full price.

EDIT: Today I beat the game at 18 hours.

Depends on how many guesses you need to accomplish what needs to be accomplished. I sometimes needed more than one hour for something so obvious... ;)
